Subject: Recharger and batteries under water

Last week I took my Tuffy Esox 1700 boat to the car wash to clean up the carpet. Well, I just went out to plug in my charger to get ready to go fishing tomorrow and noticed that my 2 batteries and charger were completely submerged uder water this whole time since cleaning it. Are my batteries and charger toast? I can't believe that there isn't a drain of any sort in the compartment. For those of you not familiar with this model, the batteries are located in the bottom part of the rod locker on these boats. Any advice or help would be appreciated. thanks
