Thanks for the replies. Me and a buddy popped it off last night. I'm getting a new hub and bearings for sure. Replacing the bearings on the other side as well. It does appear that the back race has welded itself to the axle. My buddy seems to think he can get it off with some heat, cutting a small groove, and using a chisel to break it off. Anybody have any thoughts on this? It looks like some grooves were worn into the axle just behind the threaded portion as well. I'm a little leery going this route. However, I don't know much about stuff like this and he used to work in a garage. Do I give him the benefit of the doubt?
