I have looked into how my boat is hooked up and it appears that my trolling motor has to power inputs. It doesn't appear that the batteries are in parallel but rather that you can use one or the other without having to move the cables. Can I just hook them both up at the same time? Can I charge one and will the current move to the other? Or should I just buy some cables and connect the two batteries and buy and on board charger? I really don't want to spend the $300 for an on board charger. If anybody has a Lund Mr. Pike your input would be greatly appreciated.
