Location: Stevens Point, WI		You would be perfectly happy with a 24V Minnkota Power Drive. I have this on my 2004 Tuffy 17ft. Deep V which is a really heavy boat and it is more than adequate in even 3 footers. I am able to do about 2 mph or so with it. Make sure you go with a longer shaft too. I have the 60" shaft and I have not had it pop out of the water yet.
