What prop do you have on there?I have to agree maybe something with the prop or shaft unless it just runs rough?Then I would maybe try that power tune from merc good product.I am also surprised at your forward speed seems fast,I had a 98 90 2stroke on a 1890 warrior and got down to 1.9 to2.0 gps with motor trimmed all the way down.It also ran fairly smooth.I also had a high 5 prop which I think helps alot.
