Location: S.E. Wisconsin		Depending on what size motor you have, a hydrofoil on your lower unit will give you a little more speed, basically gets you on plane faster, had one on my 25 horse tiller and it made a huge difference, bigger outboard than a 60hp dont think you need one depending how big your boat is.....those things claim to save gas but I never noticed a big difference...
