Subject: RE: rough running motor

Ran the Honda today in a barrel outside. This time I ran it with all fresh gas in it. I DID pull the plugs and look at them. Could not find the gapper. Ran smoother. While it was running I quickly put it in forward put not for long as it moved alot of water. While it was idling in nuetral I went in to call the local dealer, not the place where I bought it from. She asked if i used Stabil. Yes. She thought there might be dirt in the carb. If they worked on it and found dirt, that would not be under warranty. Ouch, She said there was nothing else I could add to the fuel. She said it could blow through. She owns this place. She also sold me the wrong plugs last fall. I wanted to talk to a mechanic today, but either they weren't there or available. Her husband would have been nice to talk too, but sounded like he was not avail either. Any more suggestions, like on the carb possibility. She said to pour some gas into a container to see if there is separation, or water in it.
