Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | You will need to use regular plywood and coat it completely with resin. No waterproofer, because the resin will not adhere to treated wood. All the seams need to be covered with 3 ounce mat rolled tight into the joint. Best to use a double layer on all seams. Make sure the end grain is sealed ANYWHERE a hole is cut or drilled, use silicone sealant.
If you want to use bedliner, use it over a resin coated surface instead of carpet. It won't seal the wood well enough long term to rely on as a primary waterproofer. |
