By the time you get any high quality glass 17' boat rigged out you will be over 20K these days. The 60 hp Merc rigged with a stainless prop will run you $6000.00 of that amount. You can trim off a grand by purchasing a Shorelander trailer instead of the custom, but you'll miss that low profile custom when the water is low.

The Magnum is 80" wide, and every square inch is fishable. That boat has more fishable Muskie deck room than most 20' boats. The low profile is very unique, coupled with incredible stability at rest.

The Esox Magnum is a boat designed to meet the exact needs of a niche market; muskie anglers fishing average sized lakes who want incredible stability at rest and a decent ride, tons of fishing room, amenities that meet the muskie angler's needs, etc. There are other fiberglass boats out there that will come close to meeting the fishability, but those will cost more money.

If the angler wants a 17' rig that will fish Mille Lacs or Green Bay all day, no matter, then the 1700 Esox Deep V is the answer. Low 20's will get you on the water in a 1700 Esox Deep V consloe with a 90hp motor.
