I've been contemplating this as well. I picked up a 2002 1675 Explorer and would really like something like this in my boat. Great seating for kids, wife, friends and huge casting deck for my fishing partner or myself.

So far, I think I'm going to build my casting deck a bigger using the pedestal bases and posts for support plus carpet it so it looks nice. That is unless I can find a decent flip over rear casting/seating deck
