Tandem trailers are notoriously hard to maneauver by hand. I would suggest against it if your going to be pulling that boat in and out of the garage on any type of a frequent basis.

If you've got room on either side of the door frame, what about putting a wider garage door in?? I'm just guessing here, but probably about a grand or so, maybe a tad more, to do that. Might be worth checking into if you're sold on the 1890.
