Place a straight edge on the bottom of the boat under the transducer, and adjust the bracket so the transducer is sitting on the straight edge. A yard stick flat against the running bottom works great. After the transducer is adjusted to sit on the straight edge flat, tighten it most of the way and tip the back edge down about 3 degrees. Now the transducer is part of the running bottom water flow; no mist!
