Thanks for the info Wolfie. Looked at the boat today and it looks like the gunnels are level. Probably go with an electric that will use 24 volts. I' ll put the batteries below on a level 'deck' and maybe build a platform above the batteries to stand on too. Question on the length of those self tappers.... was that 6-1/4" screws, going thru 3/4 ply?? I must have read that wrong right? OR an error on your end??? Luckily, I had trouble running the lighting wire thru the gunnels so it is under the seats for now. Know of anyone that has tried that release 'plate' that is offered from Minnkota? Wonder how secure that is? Thanks, Bruce.
