A lot of people would probably advise against doing what I do, but I have been running my system all year with no problems. I have a 24 volt trolling motor, and only run two batteries hooked up to make 24 volts. I don't have a seperate starting battery. So, I hook my outboard and all accessories besides the rear mounted depth finder to one battery. Then I hook up the terminals for the trolling motor and the bow mounted depth finder to the other battery.

I must be lucky, because I have no interference. Maybe because I run a Fl-8 up front, don't know. When charging my batteries, they are usually pretty close to the same charge.
