Location: north central wisconsin | I have mine hooked up that way, as I tried running both Lowrance units(actually a Lowrance lcx 25 in back and eagle fishmark up front) to my starting battery and ran into interference issues. I now run my main unit in back(the lcx 25) off my trolling motor battery and have no issues, and have my unit for up front(switched back to my vexilar due to intrerference with the lcx 25) hooked to the starting. I also only have a 2 bank charger and don't feel like hooking another chargfer to the starting battery all the time, so having the power craving lcx 25 hooked to one of the batteries in my 24 volt system has eluded that potential issue(it was draining the starting battery when I had it hooked to it, and I would have need to get another bank charger or a 3 bank).
