I'm going to lace it with a rope. That is the way to keep it tightest to the hull. I was told in the spring that if i was going to tow it more than a few miles not to bother because of the wear on the cover. I'm putting duct tape under it where it will have more pressure on it like the bow and the oar locks, and the handles on the transom. My only concern is the fold of the tarp at the bow and what to do to keep it closed tight. It should be out of the slipstream though. Going to stop every so often to look it over.
