Definately check the fuses in the truck. Look in the owners manual. If you have a factory trailer tow package, you most likely have a separate fuse or two for the trailer wiring. In my Ford, those fuses are located in the box under the hood. May be a separate fuse for the running lights and the turn/brake lights.

As said, Yellow Left, Green Right, Brown Running. Blue is Backup/Brake lockout.
