Location: Valentine, NE USA | My neighbor is looking to buy his first boat...he's on a budget, etc., etc.
So, he knocks on my door this morning, and says a boat dealer showed him a 17'er with a very well running, but old, "82 Evinrude 140 on it.
FYI....this boat is only rated for 90.....
The dealer told him that some time ago, Evinrude "changed the way they rated their motors" and this motor was only about 85hp.
Now, I'm telling myself the dealer fed him a line of BS..... or could this possibly be true!?!?!?!
