Sorry about the delay in my reply, I was out of my home the last couple of days. The operating range for this outboard is 5500-6000, and it is mounted in the top hole. I don't think I really want to move the mounting position if I can help it. I would also like to stick with aluminum, because I plan on fishing a lot of new water this year. If I chew up a prop that's better than chewing up a prop and bending the shaft in the lower unit. I thought about trying a 12.75x21 or a 14x21 to get a little more bite. Thanks Gordo
