sorno, the only difference on the lower end units is wattage. When you step up, memory, and hookups change as well. I run an Eagle right now due to the fact that when I bought it, I was in a jam for cash. i love the thing and it does pick up bait quite well when fishing suspendos, though I use it for depth and weed purposes mostly. It is a Fishmark 320, and a sweet unit for the money. It replaced the old Eagle Ultra Classic that my dad now runs. I am upping to a GPS unit this season, and am thinking seriously about the Lowrance this time, but would consider the Eagle. Fishing nearly every day of the season the past three years with it, i have not had a lick of trouble(knock on wood) and it has performed very well, showing the things I was looking for. There are times that I would like more wattage for bottom content etc, but the 320 pixels is plenty.
