I want to say there's no difference but I'm not sure. The boat wax might have move UV protection and/or might have additives for removing hard water deposits like spots/buildup. That's just a guess though. And, I'm drawing a complete blank on what I use on mine. Right now couldn't even tell you if it was boat wax or not.
