Thanks, guys. I've got everything hooked up now (I'm always amazed when I connect something and it works!). I like the idea of the two separate batteries but may not be able to do that, since I've jumped over onto the second battery to create my 24v line for the new troller.
My plan now is to get the boat out tomorrow and see what works. I'd like to be able to leave both units on so the guy in in the back can have his own finder, but if that fails I can always shut it off. Al had some good advice but unfortunately I have no idea what the Eagle transducer's frequency is, so we'll go with the old trial and error.

I guess my question should have been worded more like: if the two units do conflict, what would that look like; how would I tell? thanks again, m
