Location: Minnesota		Jiimfish as chico states wd-40 is probably not your best option however when I went through Mercury Outboard school we used sea-foam in the gas tank and their engine storage foamer. Also the water pump impeller should be R&R'd every 2-3 years best to do in the spring. I've seen them last longer but why not spend around 30.00 for insurance
