Ranger,
I am a wetland delineator and hand held GPS is essential to the work I do. I use a Trimble GEO-XT, which has real -time sub meter (3.5') accurracy. You can upload aerial photos, topo maps, shape files ect. These points can than be brought into AutoCad or ArcView GIS unit price with all the bells and whistles is around $10,000.
