Location: Eau Claire, WI		I'll second what Steve said. I have a smaller Yami on one of my boats and you can't hear it shift at all. On my 175 Merc it will grind if you take your time, (try to ease it) into gear, you need to make a "positive" shift then all you get is shift noise, no grinding.
