Muskydan, I would get the biggest 12 volt they make. It seems when I fish it's really windy 20+mph. The wind will really move a light boat. That's were a small motor won't help. The wind does not affect a heavy boat as much.

I have been blown off that one lake you hit hard this fall. 2 of my last three times my trip was cut short because of the wind there. There is not place to hide from it there. When it's windy there your only option is to deal with it. Motor on high and I am going backwards.
