"It shouldnt be a bad ground if all your other lights are working. It sounds like a broken wire between the truck and trailer or possibly a broken pin in the connector its self."

Twice this year I have repaired 2 friends trailer lighting and it was the ground on both, trust me, as I am a electrician by trade, just check the ground. Easy simple fix if thats all it is... Sure it can be a broken wire or bad connector, but check those after the ground is checked..
