Subject: RE: Esox Magnum

I have an older Esox Magnum with the same problem. I have had gas back up in the filler hose more times than I want to think about but have found the best was to fill the tank is take the gas nozzle half way out of the tank and run the gas flow at half speed. Take the nozzle half way out so only about 3 inches of the nozzle is in the fill hose and keep the gas flowing at a steady fill. Even when my tank was almost empty, if I stuck the whole nozzle in the fill hose it would take about 30 seconds for the gas to back up into the overflow area.
I also thought that the vent hose may be kinked but everything on my boat also checked out.

Hope this helps
