I did a lot of research last year on batteries for my Tuffy and ended up buying a trojan deep cycle from Sportsmen's Warehouse and I have not had the battery let me down yet. I believe I bought a 225 which had the most CCA's and Reserve capacity for about $100. I was getting tired of buying the Farm and Fleet Batteries that lasted 2 years and left me with no power to my trolling motor at the end of the day. The Optimas are supposed to be super batteries but I have heard that their customer service is not the best. If you have a problem with the battery the warranty will only be valid at the dealer where you purchased it. Batteries are a hot topic on many sites with many opinions expressed. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.
One of the best site's I have found for questions about batteries and electronics is www.bassboatcentral.com. Check it out, you may find it very helpful.
