Location: New Baden IL | When I have 3 guys in the boat, ther is one on the front deck, and one between me and him standing on the side.
I keep the floor clutter free, so his first step down is right onto the floor.
I have also had some guys who didn't have much grace fish from the floor of the boat, and other than being somewhat far from the water, they havent had much of a problem.
I guide from the rear of my boat, and use a footpad extention cable for my MotorGuide motor.
I found that my Lakewood Monster is the same height as the side deck, so I slide it right up the the edge and stand on it and the deck.
Works out great.
I always try to have my clients fishing out of the Left side of the boat, casing perpendicular to whatever structure we are working.
That allows me to help watch for follows, and keeps all of the baits swinging in the same direction which make it less likely that someone gets a face full of hooks.
