Location: Southern W.Va.		I've never owned a boat myself but I've seen problems keeping the proper angle on transducers mounted on the outside of boats . Water preasure on the transducer at higher speeds seem to change the angle of the transducer and do effect the depth readings if not tightened VERY tight. I think mounting it to the bottom on the trolling motor in the way to go.
