I learned from a "more experienced" (read older) friend what he used to do when tourney fishing. Keep a spray bottle of vinegar and water in the truck. If you get a day when you pull the boat out and there's crap all over it, spray it down lightly with the spray and then towel it off. Really helps in water with algea before all that stuff dries on the boat while you're going down the road.

A little bit of preventive maintenance saves a lot of wash/wax time later. I just got a new fiberglass this spring so I'll have to get the spray bottle ready as well.
