Due to some navigation issues and clearance under bridges where I fish, I opted with a 90 hp Yamaha 2 stroke. I need to keep the motor low profile so that it fits through since I have to tilt up a bit in order to have lower unit clearance under water.

So far, I have had the boat in 3 foot waves, glass calm and various conditions in between as I went through break in earlier this spring. Numbers are pretty good for the moment...I have yet to run clean gas through it (break in required the use of 50:1 mix in addition to the oil injection system). 5400 RPMs, 39mph with a stock 17 pitch and motor mounted in the 3rd hole up off transom.

Handles really well.

Steve
