Location: Bloomington, Illinois		I have a 16.5 ft 50th Anniversary Alumacraft Lunker LTD....It has a 40 lb thrust all terrain Minnekota trolling motor...I would like to upgrade...a couple of questions...How is the shaft length measured on a trolling motor? This one is 42in from the top of the motor housing (lower unit) to the bottom of the housing on top...Would it create any problems to use a 48" shaft...Any help shining light on my ignorance would be appreciated...thanks,
