The cables are only a couple of years old....they are not bad....I just want to keep them lubed so they don't go bad.

Luke your right though....when a strand or 2 break, the steering gets tight and it's time to replace cables.

If anyone is replacing cables the best way is to remove the old cable and get a number off them and measure the length. The best place to get them is from Bass Pro. The guy I spoke with teleconferenced a Teledyne technician and we got the right one the first time. Oh ya, make sure you get the anti feed back helm, it is worth the extra buck.
