Convection type is gravity fed heat and unless it burns a long time its hard to sustain and even/useful heat. I have a 2 3/4 size garage and I use a torpeter at 11o,ooo btu and works great. I can put it on when my boat is frozen from late fall, under the trailer in 1 hr. the boat is thawed out and thaws out your vehicle fast too! I went with propane instead of kerosene a little more efficent and cleaner burning!

20# will run for 24 hrs. I also like to heat from the ground up as your heat rizes. It would be a different story if you are going to heat 24/7 - 365!
