I have two friends who's 225 Opti's do the same when motor is either left tilted or trimmed very high. The sensor in the small oil tank under the cowl/hood is positioned so that when the motor is tilted very high that the sensor is out of the oil. The engine still gets oil since the output tube is on the bottom of the little resivoir. They tilt it back down and within a minute it quiets down.

As suggested you may want to have it looked at by a mechanic but from what you describe it sounds like what I mentioned above.
