Location: Chicago, Beverly | They started making johnson 2 strokes again(just looked at the johnson website, yes they did)? I know for a couple there they only made 4 strokes and the evinrude's were only 2 stroke. Anyways, if its a 2004 I'd look in the owners manual and see what it says. My '95 2 stroke 40hp evinrude I was told not to use the synthetic stuff at all. Maybe the newer motors are different but the mechanic that told me said use the stuff in motors like the E-tec and DFI's only, which I do not think your motor is.
