I just got to test drive a 250 Verodo on a Nitro 911 yesterday morning. The Tracker guys were doing their photo shoot and I was able to take one out for a spin. To me the motor performed just like an I/O. Smooth power from start to finish. VERY quiet compared to my 225 Opti. The "fly by wire" throddle was AWSOME! Just set it and go. The new stearing was very funky. I had that boat chine-walking all over the place. The Nitro 911 is notorious for that to begin with, but with that new stearing it was very tough to get a feel for the corrections that needed to be made to make her go flat and fast. I think you'd need some serious seat time to get a good feel for her. For all that don' t know me I run a 21' bassboat currently and do know how to drive one correctly.

Shep, you may want to wait on this technology though. The entire time I was driving it, an error message "check paddle" was on. The Tracker guys knew about it and had no idea what it ment. There was also a 5 minute time frame where I couldn't get it in forward gear. Could've been driver error, but I have driven a boat once or twice. The thing apparently also doesn't have a rev limiter since I wound it up to close to 7000rpm's (oops), but it took it and purred.

Give the motor 1-2 more years and I think it should be ready by then.
