Only thing with the Verado is that it is 100lbs heavier for the horsepower you get, comparing it to a 2 stroke.

Mercury says it's the compromise you have to make for the extra bells and whistles, like the digital steering and throttle.

Hydralic steering seems to work just fine?

Time will tell....I would think a 4 stroke would be way more reliable in the long range.
