I made a "U" from wood and used a huge chunk of Velcro to hold it in place....This worked on my old Alumacraft Dominator with a 40 hp tiller after the tension tab quit. Check out the illustration I made.....it worked great for trolling. NOTE: the "U" was only high enough to hold the tiller bar, you dont want one too high or it will throw off the center of gravity and become too tippy.
