Subject: 200 hp motors

I ran a 200 HPDI Yamaha since last spring. It's been a very suprizing motor, just turn the key and go. Altho it's a smaller diplacment motor than the 3.1 EFI, after some fine tuning on the whole rig, my 2000 1990 Osprey would run 55, 56 loaded and up to 58 by myself gps. The Yamaha HPDI is quieter than an Optimax even at idle. When I was along side a guy with an Opti, you couldn't hear my HPDI was running and when I ran with a buddy of mine in his Ranger 619 with the 200 Opti, when we got to the gas pumps, I used several gallons less for about the same running time. The Yamaha HPDI is the only motor in a lot of years to impress me.
