Subject: RE: Prop advice for Evinrude 40 hr

The 13P worked great pulling tubes, etc...I lost about 5 mph top end speed. The 15P gave me the top end speed, but I am lokking for something in between....

The issue with the 13P was that I was over the recommneded RPM's, recommended is 5200-5800, and I was @ 5800-5900. If I'd trim down, I was OK, but I lost another 1-2 mph's....When I switched to the 15P, I get no higher than 5600PM's.

Would the 14P be the answer?

Also - do I really need to get a prop wrench, or can I use my regular wrench I use...I never changed my prop as my buddy has done for me and I know it takes him a couple minutes. Is there a trick or easy instructions?
