The area where the rivets and screws went through looked like swiss cheese and quite a few of the holes were developing cracks so I called a local body shop guy to look at it and give him a few ideas to see if possible. I am going to have him resin in all the existing holes and on the hull and cap. We are going to use 3 layers of 3/32" veneer strips and fabric around the inside of the hull area and fabric the inside of the cap. As long as the cap is off we are also going to add additional reinforcing under the cap, using plywood and fabric. The estimate for doing this was under 300 dollars which was not too bad and better than watching my trolling motor flip over the bow of the boat is rough water!!
