Have the trim switch replaced. It’s failing. Sometimes tapping on it with a Jack knife, or handle of a screw driver or some hard article will free it up. It’s a small black box under hood. Mechanic told me at times they stick.

I’ve  owned etecs since they started making them. Had several trim switches fail on me. I carry a spare now for home of long trips. Buy 2 right away if you plan on keeping motor.
