I got a new boat last year and the dealer advised that instead of shrink wrapping the first couple of winters, I could use the Lund tarp they put over the boat when they had it at the dealership before selling. They advised I remove the custom travel cover and use the tarp instead.

The price to shrink wrap I was quoted from my local marina was pretty steep. I am a bit nervous about the tarp over the winter. (Its stored at a family members place (outdoors) and I can't really monitor it for excessive snow weight etc).

Does anyone not shrink wrap their boat over the winter and store outdoors? If so, no issues?
