I was in the same situation last fall. I put in Interstate's 27 series deep cycle for my 24 volt system. They were a refurb at $25 or $30 a piece. I heard real good things about the refurbs and had one in my truck a couple years ago with no problems. They warranty them for full replacement for one year. The new batteries have a replacement for two years i think. The manager said that they don't have any more problems with them than they do with brand new ones. Basically the shell is from an old battery and the guts are all new. The best part is they are 1/3 the price of new which leaves more $$$$ for other goodies!!!!! They don't always have them in stock and when they get a shipment in around here, they go fast. Good luck.
