Just completed 90% the restoration of my Muskie Rampage. I will try to post pictures this week. I had someone replace the floors, stringers, carpet and added a 19 gal. alum fuel tank. All I have left is to rewire the whole boat (adding a fuse box) find two more seat Pedestals for casting decks, mount and wire wire the Minn Kota 101.
I took the boat out Saturday and could not believe all the comments I received. The 25 year old boat some thought it was only a couple years old, some thought it was new. There were a couple of other Tuffy owners who thought it was great.
I will say this is one of the Best riding boats I have ever had the pleasure of driving. This is my first Tuffy and I am impressed. I know it is 25 years old but I don't have more than $5300 in the entire project and that includes everything. I like redoing old things and making them new.
The boat has a 75 Mariner, Garmin Echo 300c fish finder, new style Tuffy seats. It even has a new style SAS Tuffy driving seat. I have 3 of the new styles seats. I may just put a bicycle seat up front.
I just wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoyed taking an old boat, redoing it and having a blast out on my first voyage. I didn't catch anything on Saturday but had an awesome time in my "new" Tuffy.
