I'm starting to search for a (used) 1760 G series Tiller. I've read so much about how smooth the 1760 rides in rough water, sits low at rest, and in general is a great combination.

Seem to hear less about the 1890. Does the 1760 actually ride smoother than the 1890, or is the 1760 just very smooth considering the size of the boat? Would seem the 1890 would run smoother, but I also understand they have completely different hulls.

Most of the 1890's are probably over my budget, but if I found the right one it could be an option, provided it was still very smooth riding, and especially if it sat low enough in the water at rest to provide boat control at least as good as the 1760 in windy situations.

Those that have run both boats, what's your take on how they compare?
