Hi guys new here. Been making muskie lures for a few years. Lg. trolling lures mostly. mine are wire thu. I notch a channel through the contour of botton of lure, very time cosuming. Any tricks you guys use?

I have done the same thing--I just use a dremel tool with the wood cutting wheel--Turn it on it's edge and away I go--sometimes it can be a handful--seems to depend on the kind of wood, but it works for me

I drill mine out and thread the wire through. Once you figure out how to do it? its way faster. You dont have to fill that trench back in. just the belly hangers. Mike

As far as drilling out goes how do you keep the bit straight on 10" lures?
